Lake of the Woods Fishing Guides & Guide Boats

We offer guided fishing with professional fishing guides who have years of experience on Lake of the Woods. The guides know all the tactics and hotspots and get you on the fish of your choice. If you are new to the area it can be very advantageous to hire one of our guides for the first day or two to show you where all the hotspots are. You may bring the map we give you to mark the spots as well as bring your own GPS so you can find those spots on your own afterwards.

Just tell your guide what you want to fish for, and your day will begin. Generally most people want to fish for Walleye in the morning to catch fish for shore lunch and then target other species later in the day if you want to. The guides are all experts at Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Musky fishing plus other fish species like Perch, Sauger and Crappie.

The fishing guides will take you out for up to 8 hours on your guided fishing trip in one of our deluxe guide boats. Our most popular guide boat that we like to use is 19.5' with 200 hp 4-stroke motor that is both roomy and comfortable. It is equipped with the following features:

windshield
swivel pedestal seats
3 of the 4 seats have air ride suspension
casting deck
2 bait wells
live-well
PFDs & safety equipment
electric trolling motor
"kicker" trolling motor
toppers for inclement weather
plus many extras for your comfort while on your guided fishing trip

In addition to a great day of fishing, the guides will prepare a traditional shore lunch Canadian style, if booked with your Guided Fishing Trip. The guides will pick a great spot along the shore and prepare lunch while you take in the gorgeous scenery and breathe in that clean air, or cast your line and fish from shore. The shore lunches are usually cooked on a portable propane fish fryer & cooker, in order to avoid the risk of starting forest fires out in the woods. You will have some of the best tasting fresh fish ever, along with potatoes, bacon, Busch Beans, etc. We also pack a cooler with water, drinks etc.
